I am currently a graduate student in
the
Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
at UC Berkeley.
I am working with
Prof. Pravin Varaiya
on various aspects of transportation theory and practice
under the auspices of the
PATH Project.
My own research interests span many areas. In the field of electrical
engineering, I have a high level of interest in:
- dynamic wireless channel assignment algorithms,
- mobile computing systems,
- process distribution and load balancing in heterogenous computer networks,
- optimal power assignment in cellular system, and
- high-speed network flow control.
In transportation, my intrests lie mostly with the following topics:
- optimal placement of transportation management resources,
- software architectures for traveller information infrastructures,
- estimation of travel time from loop detectors,
- incident detection, and
- sensor fusion for state estimation on the freeway.
